Advanced multi-axis CNC machining
Our 4-axis and 5-axis Mazak machining centres allow complex components to be produced in a single machining process. By reducing the number of setups and operations required, this approach improves efficiency while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
Five-axis machining enables parts to be processed across the three linear axes together with the two rotational axes, allowing multiple faces of a component to be machined in a single setup. This significantly reduces handling and repositioning of parts, improving consistency and reducing overall production time.

CNC milling capabilities
ANR operates four Hurco CNC milling centres, supported by SolidCAM® programming software, allowing our engineers to machine directly from 3D CAD models or generate programs from 2D engineering drawings. SolidCAM® advances our milling centres to allow full 3D machining direct from model so that complex geometries can be easily machined.
These capabilities allow us to produce precision machined parts with tight tolerances and excellent surface finishes for customers operating in both commercial and specialist engineering sectors.
CNC turning services
Alongside our milling capabilities, ANR provides a comprehensive range of CNC turning services for the production of precision cylindrical components.
Our turning facilities include:
- 1 x Mazak 5-axis mill-turn centre
- 1 x Mazak 4-axis turn-mill centre
- 2 x Hurco 3-axis vertical mill
- 1 x Hurco 4-axis vertical mill
- 1 x Hurco 5 axis vertical trunnion mill with 48 pallet Erowa robot
- Two Colchester manual turning centres.
The Mazak machines feature sub-spindle technology, enabling fully finished components to be produced without multi-handling. This improves manufacturing efficiency while maintaining consistent quality across production runs.
Prototype to production machining
Our CNC machining facilities support both one-off prototype components and scheduled production manufacturing. Bar-fed machining systems allow continuous production when required, helping reduce production times and maintain reliable delivery schedules.
